====== Specifications ====== There are several formats associated with Character Cards. Each of them is completely unofficial and more consensus based than definitively declared. Each [[interfaces|interface]] has subtle behavioral differences that can have surprising results. The following specifications are described here to the best of our knowledge. ===== Character Card ===== The Character Card specification, formally called [[:specifications:CharaCard]], contains information about CharaCard version 1, 2, and 3 "standards" as well as a description of how this data is encoded into PNG metadata. ===== Lorebook ===== Unlike Character Cards, Lorebooks are distributed as JSON text documents instead of being embedded into pictures. While several proposed standards circulate, two standards encompass nearly all Lorebooks in circulation. The [[:specifications:CharaCard#Lorebook|CharaCard Lorebook]] standard is the most commonly accepted Lorebook standard. [[:interfaces:SillyTavern]] created another widely circulated format called [[:specifications:WorldInfo]]. While this serves a similar format, it has a completely different structure. ===== Other ===== * [[specifications:GGUF]] This is a popular format for quantized LLMs.
